Privacy Policy

SCOPE

This Privacy Policy explains how the SOHO BITES Android application handles information used in its menu, cart, checkout, favourites and order-history features.

USER-ENTERED AND TRANSACTION INFORMATION

The checkout flow uses the following fields and order details:

• Name — required. Used to identify the order record created in the app.
• Phone number — required. Used as part of the order contact details recorded by the app.
• Delivery address — required only when Delivery is selected; not required for Pickup. Used to record the intended delivery destination.
• Special instructions — optional. Used to retain notes entered for the order.
• Selected food items and customisations — required when an order is created. Used to record the chosen menu items, selected size and optional extras.
• Quantities — required as part of cart and order information. Used to calculate line totals and the order total.
• Total amount — calculated by the app from selected items, customisations and quantities.
• Fulfilment choice — required. The implemented choices are Delivery and Pickup.
• Non-card payment method — required. The implemented choices are Cash on Delivery and Pay at Pickup.
• Order timestamp and order status — generated by the app for order-history display.

LOCAL APP DATA

The app can also retain favourites, cart contents, customer name, phone number and delivery address so these details can remain available when the app is reopened. These records are stored using Android on-device preferences.

TRANSMISSION

The app does not include a backend, cloud database, remote order API, Firebase service, authentication service or server-side order-submission system. Information entered in checkout is not transmitted to SOHO BITES LTD, a restaurant, or an external server by the order flow.

RETENTION AND DELETION

Order-history records, favourites, cart data and saved customer details remain until the user deletes individual order-history records, uses the Clear all local app data control in the in-app Privacy Policy screen, clears app storage through Android system settings, or uninstalls the app.

PAYMENTS

This build does not process online card payments. It does not request or store full card numbers, CVV or CVC codes, card PINs, online-banking credentials or other raw payment credentials. The app records only the selected non-card payment method used in the checkout flow.

EMAIL ACTION

The Contact Us section can open the device's email application when the user chooses the contact action. Checkout and order information is not automatically placed into or sent through that email action.

DEVICE ACCESS AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The app does not request location, camera, microphone or media-library access. No advertising SDK, analytics SDK, tracking SDK, Firebase integration or user-account authentication is implemented.

DATA SHARING

The app does not use an implemented backend or order API to share checkout information with an external business or server. An external email application is used only when the user intentionally chooses the Contact Us action.

SECURITY

Information retained by the app is subject to the security of the user's Android device and operating system. No method of device storage can be described as completely secure.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The app is not designed to knowingly request sensitive information from children. Users should provide only the information needed for the implemented checkout flow.

USER CHOICES

Users can remove individual order-history records, clear all app data from the Privacy Policy screen, clear application storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app to remove locally retained app information.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

This policy may be updated when the application's implemented functionality or data handling changes.
